Senegambia Craft Market 'bendula' was founded in 1982 and has just over 64 appointed craft stalls as well as others nearby skilled traders.
Many raw items like 'Thick Wood' are sourced from The Gambia and made locally. There is a wide range of art and craft for sale such as tie-dye bags, hats, wooden carved masks, gourds, silver jewellery, numerous variations of drums, leather wallets and sandals and chains.
The magic of the market is the makers, all skilled across a variety of wood to African print handling, a must for anyone visiting The Gambia.
